Volunteers are always encouraged and welcome at the shelter!  Without volunteers, a shelter sure can be a sad place for dogs and cats. We are a small shelter with limited funds, this means that we are only able to staff enough hours to cover cleaning, filing and medical treatment. We need volunteers to walk, bath, play with, socialize, get to know, take pictures of, and love the animals at the shelter.

Our volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or older.  If you are interested in volunteering, you can obtain a volunteer application at the shelter. Once your application is received by the shelter staff, it is sent to the Police Department for City approval which includes a background check. The usual time frame for approval is about two weeks.

Volunteers must be willing to donate 4 hours per week. We organize our volunteers with phone and email contact and Facebook updates.
