Historic Preservation Building and Property Owner Resources

State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) has numerous resources on how to rehabilitate historic buildings. Many aging structures can be fixed and put to good use. In addition to education and resources, SHPO will conduct free consolations with property owners. Contact jareds@tooelecity.gov to get help. Preservation Utah is a non-profit organization that assists owners of historic properties to maintain and re-new their buildings. They offer low-interest loans as well as education on best practices.
