July 7: VOCALOCITY
Vocalocity Photo

Vocalocity is an all vocal band creating rad harmony, gnarly beats and wicked sound.

“People who are the most fulfilled in life doing something they love, something they are passionate about. For us, music is that passion; it's a part of each of our individual DNA. Most of us grew up singing. We sang at school assemblies. We sang in local congregations. We sang in musicals, community choirs and madrigals.

We sing because it's what we've always done. We sing because when we aren't singing, something is missing. Vocalocity is the means to stay connected to the notes, chords, rhythms and harmonies of our youth. When we are under the warmth of the stage lights with a captive audience, we feel right at home.”

Peter Breinholt is one of the most reliably beloved performers in the Salt Lake region, and became so largely through word-of-mouth. His debut record, a collection of songs he released as a student at the University of Utah, became the best-selling independently released CD ever in the state of Utah and was eventually described by Salt Lake Magazine as “an underground classic”. Peter has also performed for countless sold out crowds in every major concert hall in the region, including Kingsbury Hall, Tuacahn and Sundance. Ryan Shupe & Band Photo

This year, the Billboard-charting band celebrates 25 years of performing for packed concert halls, amphitheaters and music festivals across the US.

They recorded a new album to share some of their riveting, dynamic and beloved live shows, including from their sold-out annual Sandy Amphitheater show in Utah.

Winning over live audiences has been Shupe’s natural-born talent since childhood. A fifth-generation fiddler, he started performing with his siblings at age 10. Shupe later formed the RubberBand, and the band took the long-running Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado by storm, winning the live band contest. This launched them into the national music scene and, after signing with Capitol Records, they hit #13 on Billboard's US Country Album Chart with their signature album, Dream Big. Their title track from that album continues to be an audience favorite, and has garnered over 2.1 million streams on Spotify.

Carver Louise Photo

Carver Louis was born and raised in small town Tooele, Utah and lived the life of any home town kid. He grew up playing sports for the local high school, from running track to being the quarterback of the football team. During rodeo season he ran chutes and did Monday Night Buck Outs, all while listening to the greats like George Straight and Alan Jackson. Being molded by small town country music it was only fitting that Carver take the stage as a country musician one day.

Soon after releasing his debut single “Through with You” in 2017, Carver’s music career took off and his popularity grew.  He began performing at various venues such as music festivals, rodeos and county fairs.  Carver went from performing for 12 people at a barbeque joint to 6,000 when he opened for Rodney Atkins at Cherry Peak Resort. Larger performances such as the Country Summer Music Festival in California followed soon after the release of his freshman album Through with You in 2018.  This included “Country Way” and “Yesterday”.  During a 2018 radio interview with K-Bull 93, a local country radio station, Carver premiered his Thomas Rhett inspired single titled “Light of my Life Girl”.

Throughout his career, Carver has been given the opportunity to open for a wide range of country artists including: Rodney Atkins, Travis Denning, John Michael Montgomery, Diamond Rio, Carly Pierce, Morgan Evans, Thompson Square, Trick Pony, LoCash, Midland, Coffey Anderson, Waterloo Revival and Black Hawk. During his shows he commits to give the audience 100%, pouring his heart out in every song and never leaving the audience disappointed.
