Garbage Pick Up

Garbage collection service is provided by Ace Disposal. Any Questions on garbage pick up should be directed to them at 882-7009. Problems with cans provided by the city should be directed to us at 843-2150.

Only garbage in the city provided containers will be picked up. The container is the property of Tooele City however, you are responsible for its care and cleaning. Please keep it free from destructive or decorative markings. Each container has an identification number which is assigned to a residence. DO NOT USE THE CONTAINER AT ANY OTHER LOCATION.

Additional containers will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. The minimum time for keeping an additional container is 4 months. Before additional containers will be picked up they must be washed out.

On garbage pickup days, place the container at the edge of the street next to the driveway, opposite your mailbox, to insure easy access by the automated hauling trucks. Do not block driveways or roadways. The container's wheels should be close to curb or edge of the road with the lid hinge to the curbside and the lid opening facing toward the street.

Do not overfill the container to the extent that the lid does not remain firmly closed or to such an extent that the contents may be spilled during the process of pickup and dumping.

Container must be out by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day. Remove the container from the street as soon as possible after being emptied. The only days garbage will not be picked up are: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On these weeks, service will be delayed one day starting with the holiday.
