Ongoing city restoration efforts have created a cultural center with everything from shopping and art displays to restaurants, niche businesses and open space flanked by flowering pots and historic architecture.

Beginning to reap the benefits of years of community city renewal efforts, a unique cultural atmosphere is evolving in the downtown.  The city’s downtown is starting to draw unique businesses and restaurants to the area, creating a day or night destination.

At first glance, city restoration efforts amount to aesthetic improvements like the new Veteran’s Park, bike lanes, decorative light posts, new facades and improved parking.
A result of those basic improvements is a nicer looking downtown that encourages businesses and restaurants to set up shop, visitors are drawn to the downtown and a much more vibrant atmosphere is being created.

While life in downtown Tooele was once an obsolete concept that brought to mind condemned buildings and antiquated parking, the efforts of many new business owners are returning new life to downtown.
